TS POLYCET 2023 or Telangana POLYCET 2023 notification and schedule has been released on its official website https://polycetts.nic.in for conducting the TS polytechnic entrance test by the Telangana State Board of Technical Education and Training.

Eligibility rule for Agriculture Diploma Admissions: Professor Jayashankar has set the eligibility criteria for admission in Agriculture, Agri-Engineering and Organic Diploma courses offered by Telangana State Agricultural University.

60% of seats are for rural students. This includes four years of study in rural areas. The remaining 40 per cent seats will be allotted to rural and urban students.

Students under the age of 22 and who have completed 15 years are eligible for these courses. The Telangana POLYCET Online application process would be started very soon on the official website for admissions in Polytechnic Diploma courses.

Upon completion of 10th class, one can complete 3 year diploma course and settle down in life. If you do not want a job, you can pursue higher education in B.Tech Secondary. SBTET Telangana has issued a polycet notification for admissions in the Polytechnic course paving the way for a golden future.

TS POLYCET 2023

Telangana POLYCET will be conducted for admission into diploma courses in Polytechnic colleges in the state of Telangana. The State Technical Education Training Board (SBTET) usually conducted the polycet after the completion of the tenth class examinations. The SBTET has decided to conduct the POLYCET TS as per the schedule

POLYCET Telangana is a Joint Entrance Examination for admission into Diploma Courses in Engineering (Polytechnic), Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Fisheries AND 6 year B.Tech Course will be conducted across the Telangana state.

The Polytechnic entrance exam will be conducted as per 10th class SSC Topics in syllabus for Academic Year in Mathematics & Physical sciences subjects for engineering Diploma courses offered by SBTET, Hyderabad.

Whereas this entrance exam will be conducted for Agriculture Diploma courses offered by PJSTSAU, Horticulture Diploma courses offered by Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University and Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Diploma courses offered by P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University, Hyderabad in Mathematics, Physical sciences & Biology subjects as per the schedule.

The POLYCET is conducted for admission to polytechnic courses in various colleges across the state of Telangana. The candidates who wish to check the details of admission procedure, brochure, CET schedule etc. are advised to visit the official website of the exam.

POLYCET Admission

Polytechnic seats:

For veterinary course, there are a total of 5 Animal Husbandry Polytechnics in the state. There are 110 seats in veterinary and 11 seats in Fisheries. For Agriculture courses, there are 790 seats in the total 21 Agricultural Polytechnics, including 9 Government Polytechnics.

There are 200 seats in Government Polytechnics and 590 sears in private colleges and for engineering courses, there are a total of 139 polytechnic colleges, including 54 government colleges, with 33,190 seats. Three separate Ranks will be allotted for the candidate who appeared for POLYCET.

Candidates can opt to study Diploma Courses offered by SBTET (or) Courses offered by PJTSAU or Courses offered by SKLTSHU (or) PVNRTVU. No separate application form for admission is prescribed for candidate desirous of seeking admission into Engineering (or) Non-Engineering Diploma courses offered by Polytechnics, the filled-in application for POLYCET itself will be treated as application for admission in to courses offered in Polytechnics.

The candidates seeking admission into the Diploma in Pharmacy & Hotel Management and Catering Technology have to apply through DOST for which the entry qualification is 10 + 2 and hence they need not appear POLYCET.

Admissions through Telangana POLYCET Exam

A Joint PolyCET would be conducted in Telangana state for Admission into (a) Engineering Polytechnic Diploma Courses in Polytechnic colleges, (b) Agriculture Polytechnic Diploma Courses in Agricultural Polytechnic colleges, (c) Horticulture Polytechnic Diploma Courses in Horticultural Polytechnic colleges and (d) Veterinary Polytechnic Diploma Courses in Veterinary Polytechnic colleges.

Admissions to veterinary colleges in the state of Telangana will be made through the polycet. While in the past there were admissions on the basis of tenth class marks, from this year onwards the seats will be filled on the basis of rank in the polycet. In the past, the polycet was conducted only for admissions in engineering diploma courses. From 2020, admissions to agriculture courses at Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University have been made through the Polycet.

From this year onwards, admissions to the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries courses at Professor Jayashankar Agricultural, Horticulture courses in Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural and PV Narsimha Rao Veterinary Universities will also be filled by the polycet.

There will be a single questionnaire for these three courses. Students who are writing entrance exam for Diploma courses in Engineering will have Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry papers and Students who are writing entrance exam for Agriculture and Veterinary courses will have a Biology paper along with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

PJTSAU Agricultural and Agricultural Engineering Diploma course Admissions: Online applications will be invited for the Polytechnic Entrance Test for admissions in various Agricultural and Agricultural Engineering Diploma courses at Prof. Jayashankar Varsity.

Admissions into three-year Agricultural Engineering Diploma and Second-Year Agricultural Diploma courses offered at Varsity Government and Private Polytechnic Colleges are based on POLYCET rank. PJTSAU University issues a separate admission counselling notification to provide admission after the POLYCET results. For this, Candidates who have ranked in the POLYCET must apply for admission on the basis of notification.

State Board of Telangana Technical Education and Training, Telangana has issued the POLYCET TS notification and applications are called from the Candidates who have passed SSC or its equivalent recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, TS, Hyderabad (or) appearing to appear the “Polytechnic Common Entrance Test“.

This Entrance Test for the Candidate seeking admission in to all Polytechnic Diploma Courses in Engineering and Non-Engineering/ Technology offered at Polytechnics/ Institutions (including Govt./Aided and Unaided polytechnics/ Institutions and 2nd shift Polytechnics running in Private Engineering Colleges) in Telangana State and Agri Diploma Courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) both University and affiliated polytechnics in the Telangana as per the schedule for the academic year.

Agri Diploma courses: The PJTSAU offers four Diploma courses viz. Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma in Seed Technology, Diploma in Agricultural Engineering and Diploma in Organic Agriculture for the academic year 2023-23.

The candidates who wish to seek admission into the Diploma courses offered by PJTSAU need to appear a TS POLYCET entrance examination conducted by State Board Technical Education, Telangana State unlike the previous system of filling up of seats based on the merit of GPA at SSC level. The candidates need to attempt questions of Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to become eligible for admission into diploma courses of PJTSAU.

State Board of Technical Education and Training has already issued notification for admission into various diploma courses of admission into Engineering / Non – Engineering Diploma courses and Diploma Courses offered by PJTSAU can apply through online (www.polycetts.nic.in, www.sbtet.telangana.gov.in, www.dtets.cgg.gov.in) for POLYCET for the academic year.

Eligibility for Agri POLYCET:

Eligibility Criteria To Appear For Polycet For Admission Into Agricultural Courses Of PJTSAU: a) Candidates seeking admission should produce a certificate(s) from the Heads of Institution(s) that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 10th class (any four years). The relevant information must be filled in the proforma as prescribed in FORM-I and duly signed by the Head of the institution concerned.

b) If Form-I is not filled in/duly signed by the concerned Head of Institution or officer along with office seal, the claim of the candidates will be rejected. c) The candidates who have higher education 10+2 or above are not eligible.

d) As of now, the Diploma courses offered by the University are not equal to Intermediate or any other vocational courses offered by Board of Intermediate education, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

e) In respect of the Diploma Courses offered by PJTSAU, the candidates for admission into Polytechnic Diploma Courses in the PJTSAU shall be required to have completed 15 years of age as on the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years (Born in between 31-12-1998 and 31-12-2005).

f) Candidate should have passed SSC Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society(TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X Class Examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Science as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.

g) Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to S.S.C. by Telangana State SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry with minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.

h) The POLYCET entrance examination will be held for 150 Marks viz., Maths (60), Biology (30), Physics (30) and Chemistry (30). The candidates who wish to seek for admission into diploma courses of PJTSAU are compulsory to attempt biology questions. i) Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in March/April, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET.

The Telangana State POLYCET would be conducted on the announced exam date. The test results would be announced within 10 days after the examination. The Classes would be started from June 1st week. The Department is mulling to revamp the syllabus of various subjects, keeping in view the industrial requirements, which will be implemented from this academic year.

The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBET), Telangana, Hyderabad invites online applications from the eligible candidates for admission into above-mentioned courses.

Application Fee: Applications are available till June 15 with a late fee of Rs.100. SC / ST students have to pay a registration fee of Rs.250 and others Rs.400. It is estimated that about 1.20 lakh people will attend the test. There are about 34,963 seats available in all 145 polytechnic colleges in the state.

Eligibility for POLYCET: Candidates who have passed SSC or its equivalent and recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana/AP, Hyderabad are eligible. The candidates who have compartmentally passed or appearing for SSC are also eligible to apply. However, they must have passed in all the subjects before seeking admission.

State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana, Hyderabad has made arrangements to file online applications at various AP online/TS Online, Helpline centres/ through the payment gateway.

The detailed list of these centres is available at http://sbtet.telangana.gov.in website. In order to file an application through these centres a filing fee of Rs.400/- (Rupees Three hundred and thirty only) (Excluding Application Cost) has to be paid to the operator by the candidate.

The admission schedule will be notified to the candidates after the declaration of TS POLYCET results. Students must note that the admission will be made on the basis on web counselling.
