REET 2020 Notification

For Level I Teachers (Class I to Class V)

Senior Secondary/Class 12th or equivalent with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing candidates in the final year of two-years D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) program.

REET 2020 Admit Card

The Admit cards will be issued to the candidates who have registered successfully before the last date of submission of the Online Application Form. Students of West Bengal are aspiring for education, due to this there is a growth in the education percentage in the minority communities of the state for Aikyashree Scholarship 2020. State Government to help minorities is providing them more avenues for socio economic and educational mobility by extending financial support and encouragement to the meritorious students belonging to the minority communities. The state Government had launched a new scheme Aikyashree for encouraging and help students to educate well. Aikyashree Scholarships for Minority Students in West Bengal will be fully funded from the State budget from the financial year 2019-20 on-wards.

  • The Post-matric scholarship intends to encourage students to continue their pursuit of higher education.
  • The objective of Merit-cum-Means scholarship for professional and technical courses is to support the students to pursue professional / technical studies for consequently increasing their employ-ability potential.

Benefits of Aikyashree Scholarship

  • The applicant has to submit a certificate regarding family income at the time of application.
  • For ‘renewal’ applicants, the continuance of scholarship will be subject to securing 50% marks in the previous year examination.
  • Maintenance allowance will be provided to hostellers and day scholars.
  • Students should be regular in attendance, for which the yardstick will be decided by the competent authority of the school.
  • If a student violates school discipline or any other terms and conditions of the scholarship, scholarship may be suspended or cancelled.
  • The State Government can also directly cancel the award if duly satisfied of the reasons of violation of these regulations governing the scheme.
  • If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement, his/her scholarship will be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid will be recovered.
  • The course/tuition fees and maintenance allowance will be credited to the student’s bank account directly under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

Aikyashree Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

For Pre-matric Scholarship and Post-matric Scholarship

  • Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • Candidate must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
  • Candidate must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
  • Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for pre-matric or post-matric Aikyashree Scholarship 2020.

For Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

  • The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • Candidate must have got admission in a technical / professional course.
  • Candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.
  • Annual family income of the student should not be more than Rs.2.5 lakh.
  • The students who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing studies in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation, are also eligible for applying.

Aikyashree Scholarship Selection Procedure

Scholarships will be provided only to the eligible students. The students will be selected in order of merit and subject to the budgetary allocation provided by the West Bengal Government. Aikyashree Scholarship renewal will be done for those applicant who had obtained 50% marks in his/her previous examination will be eligible for the scholarship.

University Grants Commission (UGC), the National Eligibility Test (NET) is toughest national level exam that are conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor Both, in Indian Universities and Colleges.

UGC NET 2020 Eligibility

Those candidates who are interested to apply for the UGC NET must check for the Eligibility Criteria. Following are the Age Criteria and Education Qualification in which a candidate must posses for making online Registration:

  • As on 31st January 2020, Candidate must have upper age limit of 30 years for Junior Research Fellow.
  • There is no age limit for Assistant Professor.
  • An Age relaxation of 5 years is available for OBC (NCL), SC, ST, women, and PwD candidates.
  • Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% (50% for OBC/ SC/ST/ PWD and candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer) marks without rounding off from UGC recognized University.
  • Those candidates who are in Final year and those who are waiting for there final results are also eligible to apply.

NTA UGC NET Application Fee

  • The application Fee is Rs.1000/-
  • Candidates belonging to OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) can pay Rs.500/-

  • The application fee once paid is non-transferable and non-refundable.

How to apply for UGC NET 2020

The Online Registration will be started from 16th March 2020 and the Application must be submitted before 16th April 2020 where a interested and eligible candidate must fill there details and submit the Application Form by following the steps given below:

  • A link of UGC NET Online Application Form will be activated on 16th March 2020.

UGC NET 2020 New Exam Pattern

The exam will be conducted only in online mode through Computer Based Test. The Exam will be conducted in various shifts and your Exam date can be expected to be in between the dates 15th June 2020 to 20th June 2020.
The paper consists of two papers

First Session (Paper-1)

  • Timings – 9:30 am to 10:30 am
  • Duration – 1 hour (60 minutes)
  • Total number of questions – 50
  • Total marks – 100 marks (2 marks for each question)
  • Questions type – Objective type questions

Second Session (Paper-2)

  • Timings – 11:00am to 1:00 am
  • Duration – 2 hour (120 minutes)
  • Total number of questions – 100
  • Total marks – 200 marks (2 marks for each question)

The medium of the exam will be either Hindi or English depending on the candidate’s choice that is provided during online registration. There is no negative marking for wrong answer.

UGC NET 2020 Syllabus

  • UGC NET 2020 exam consists of two papers.
  • The questions asked in paper-1 are designed to test the aptitude, general awareness, reason power and comprehension and intelligence of the candidates.
  • The second paper will be based on the core subject of the candidate.
