MAT 2020 Exam Fee

The MAT 2020 exam fee for one MAT exam is Rs.1650/- and for two MAT exams the MAT exam fee is Rs.2750/-. The MAT exam 2020 fee payment mode is online only. The MAT exam fee can be paid through Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card)/Net Banking.  The last date to pay the MAT 2020 exam fee is January 26, 2020 for computer based mAT exam and February 9, 2020 for paper based MAT exam.

The Paper based February MAT 2020 exam will be held after the computer based MAT exam. The MAT computer based exam date is February 2, 2020, while the paper based MAT exam date is February 16, 2020 and the exam time is from 10 AM to 12.30 PM.

MAT 2020 Eligibility

MAT 2020 exam eligibility for May MAT exam remains unchanged. AIMA has not changed the MAT exam eligibility criteria for the upcoming MAT exam to be held in May 2020. AIMA is likely to conduct on Paper based MAT on May 16 and computer based MAT exam on May 3, 2020. To appear for MAT exam 2020 in May, you must have obtained recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration or equivalent in any discipline.

As against other national level MBA entrance exams, AIMA has not fixed any minimum percentage of marks in graduation as the eligibility criteria to appear in MAT exam. Those studying in their final graduation year may also apply. Besides, there is no age restriction to appear in MAT exam nor does AIMA restrict any candidate to seek MBA admission on the basis of age bar.

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree, or
  • Completed professional degree e.g. CA/CS/ICWA, or
  • Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree

2. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution.

3. In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/ institution in accordance with the participating management institute’s eligibility criteria.

4. Mere fulfilment of minimum MAT eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short listing by the Management Institute in which the applicant applies for admission

5. The candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the MAT 2020 exam process

6. MAT 2020 eligibility does not impose any age bar to appear in MAT 2020 May exam.

MAT 2020 Paper Based Test date is May 16, 2020 and Computer based test date is May 3, 2020. MAT Exam Pattern 2020 is not much changed from last MAT exam. The May MAT 2020 will have 200 MCQ type questions divided in 5 sections. The time duration is two and half hours.

MAT 2020 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

  • There are 5 sections with equal number of questions in MAT exam.
  • Each section in MAT question paper will have 40 questions. Total questions are 200
  • All questions are in MCQ format.
  • Total exam time duration to solve the MAT question paper is 150 minutes.
  • Although, individual time limit for each section has been suggested by AIMA, there is no restriction to move from one section to other freely within overall time limit in the MAT 2020 exam.

Section-1: Language Comprehension
The section-1 in MAT exam 2020 on Language Comprehension is divided into two parts – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension.

Section-2: Intelligence & Critical Reasoning
The Section-2 on Intelligence & Critical Reasoning consists of two parts with Analytical and Logical Reasoning questions.

Section-3: Data Analysis & Data Sufficiency
The section-3 in MAT exam pattern consists of Data Analysis & Data sufficiency which also has two types of questions – the first type is on Data Analysis which is closer to Data Interpretation and other type of questions are on Data sufficiency.

Section-4: Mathematical Skills
The Section-4 in MAT exam is the Mathematical Skills section. This section is basically the Quantitative Ability section. It is very wide and covers each and every topic in Mathematics with greater emphasis on Arithmetic.

Section-5: Indian & Global Environment
The Indian & Global Environment section in MAT exam is the GK section which covers current affairs, static GK, Business & Economy, International current affairs, Who’s Who, Constitution of India, United Nations Organization among other key topics. It has equal number 40 questions but the score of this section is not counted to determine merit score, so many candidates skip this section or attempt it only if they are left with extra time.
